We are pleased to offer luxurious Merino Silk Yak Fingering yarn kits for the Sunde design by Susanna Kaartinen of Sanna & Co. for The Bendigo Project.
Kit 2 features our Charcoal colourway as the darker Main Colour (MC) and Steel colourway as the lighter Contrast Colour (CC).
Kits will be dyed-to-order and will ship within 14 days.  All Sunde Kit orders will be sent via express post domestically.

Susanna has knit her green-grey sample in our Agave & Mist kit.

The indie version of this pattern includes both a pullover (long sleeve) and sleeveless top version and optional bust darts and is part of The Bendigo Project 2025 and will be published on Saturday 8th March 2025.  It will be available on Ravelry here.

The theme for The Bendigo Project in 2025 is stripes, and they are very much present in all of the designs, but with delightful variety: changing directions, textures, rhythm and sequence!

The Bendigo Project Knitalong will commence Sunday 16th March at 2pm via Zoom, and will conclude with a meet up at The Australian Sheep and Wool Show, in Bendigo, Saturday July 19th 2025.

Sunde: The Design

This sweater plays with stripes and their directionality. “Sunde” is the Inari Saami word for direction. The all-over striped pullover is knitted flat, sideways from the centre out: first the back panels and then the fronts.

The sleeves are picked up around the armscyes and shaped with short rows. The ribbed V-neck, hem and cuffs are worked in the round and edged in a contrasting colour.

It is important you swatch and achieve the pattern gauge, as this will affect yarn usage.  Likewise, any pattern modifications such as additional body or sleeve length will affect yarn usage.  Should you wish to purchase an additional skein/s to enable pattern modifications please don't hesitate to Contact Us.

    Working with Hand Dyed Yarns

Hand-dyed in small batches in Tasmania.

The beauty and nature of hand dyed yarn is that every skein is unique and individual. Even within the same dye batch variations between skeins can occur.

We therefore recommend alternating skeins within your projects to ensure an optimal finish and colour blending.

Please also ensure you buy enough yarn for your project at the time of purchase, as colours can vary between dye batches.

    Care Instructions

Our hand dyed yarns have been washed to remove excess dye, however some residual dye may remain, particularly in dark and saturated colourways.

It is recommended to gently hand wash your hand dyed projects in cold water.

Wool wash or a mild detergent may be used.

We recommend blocking and drying garments flat and not tumble drying.
