Our newest yarn base Merino Nylon DK launches in this week's Shop Update!
Living at the bottom of a mountain in Tassie pretty much calls for hand knit socks all year round - and as much as we love our fingering weight socks, sometimes we just need something a little warmer to keep our toes warm.
Being hard on my socks, I needed a nice strong yarn and I'm pleased so say our new Merino Nylon DK base fits the bill nicely.
It's made of 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon and offers a generous 243m per 100gm skein from which you'll be able to knit a pair of full sized adult socks.
The other bonus of DK weight socks is just how quickly they knit up - perfect also for gift knitting.
But this yarn base isn't just perfect for socks, but pretty much any DK accessory or garment too. It's a nice plump yarn with a good twist, leading to great stitch definition.
We thought we'd share some of our favourite DK weight sock patterns with you today - happy sock knitting.
Cheers,
Karina
